Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley as well as her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she had a talent in running while attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition and placing among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in a mere 10 weeks. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. After that, she was accepted into the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. The following year, Felix earned her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at the Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo always finishing in the top three in all her events.
